New Philadelphia Navy Yard project is part of the region’s growing life sciences sector.
Penntex Construction is proud to serve as the lead construction management firm for the new 136,000 square-foot, $30.2 million, Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc. building located in the Philadelphia Navy Yard. Currently under construction, the project represents continued development in Philadelphia’s growing life sciences sector and once complete, is expected to bring hundreds of jobs to the region.
The new location for Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc., a late-stage biotechnology company developing cancer immunotherapies based on tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) technology, will include a combination of commercial offices and clinical production lab space. The facility will allow production according to U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines and is designed to provide scalability using modular processes.
“We are proud to be working with Gattuso Development Partners and Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc. on this exciting project,” said Jim Hoolehan, president of Penntex Construction. “Our team understands the complexities of healthcare and pharmaceutical design-build construction and will be working closely with all partners throughout construction to ensure the project vision becomes reality.”
