For the third year in a row, Penntex’s commitment to safety has been recognized with the prestigious Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) STEP Safety Management System Diamond-Level designation (the highest available award). Safety is a deeply held tenet of our company culture, and every Penntex team member plays a role in supporting our strategic advancement on our continuous journey toward safety excellence.
The ABC STEP program provides an industry-leading, structured benchmarking process that enables companies to evaluate their safety performance each year and identify opportunities for ongoing improvement. Achieving Diamond-level status requires consistent engagement, thorough training, proactive planning, and a shared commitment to reducing risk through everyday actions.
At Penntex, this commitment is reflected in how the team prepares for each task, communicates in the field, and supports one another in making informed and safe decisions. Frank Pudlo, Penntex Safety Director, shared, “Diamond-level results reflect daily choices. Our team genuinely looks out for each other and stays consistently engaged on safety. That mindset makes all the difference.”
Penntex President Jim Hoolehan notes that sustaining progress requires collective ownership:
“Safety is a shared responsibility. I appreciate the steady focus our team brings to ensuring everyone goes home safe at the end of every day.”
Penntex remains focused on strengthening our safety foundation in practical, meaningful ways as our team continues to build on the momentum of this most recent achievement. Safety is at the heart of how Penntex prepares, communicates, and partners—on every project, every day.
“I am excited to continue working alongside our teams to create safe, efficient job sites,” said Frank. “By keeping safety, communication, and teamwork at the core of everything we do, we can ensure everyone goes home safe every day and deliver outstanding work for every client we serve.”
