New Build-to-Suit Freezer Facility

Project Detail

Relocating from an old facility, Jack & Jill Ice Cream Company was seeking a 62,000 square-foot build-to-suite facility. The new building featured a variety of custom spaces designed to offer optimized conditions including:

  • 38,000 square-foot freezer facility featuring Perley Halladay panels designed to maintain temperatures between -10 and 32 degrees
  • 2,000 square-foot refrigerated cooler that maintained temperatures between 33 and 40 degrees
  • 12,000 square-foot dry equipment room
  • 10,000 square-foot custom office space

Early in construction, specific site challenges required Penntex to work closely with owners Liberty Property Trust (now Prologis) and project subcontractor partners to uncover and implement solutions that allowed the project to remain on schedule and on budget.
