Penntex Earns Continued Recognition from ENR Among Top 400 Contractors in the U.S.

Penntex Construction has once again earned a place among the nation’s best contractors on Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) 2026 Top 400 Contractors list. Published annually by ENR, the construction industry’s leading trade publication, the list serves as a respected benchmark for contractor experience, scale, and performance across the industry.

Penntex has maintained a place in the national rankings for multiple consecutive years, reflecting the company’s continued strength across the warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, cold storage, and industrial construction markets throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Because ENR’s Top 400 ranking is based on total nationwide construction volume, Penntex’s continued recognition is especially notable given the company’s intentionally concentrated regional footprint, with work focused primarily within just one and a half states.

This year’s rankings come amid continued growth across the construction industry, with ENR noting significant activity in emerging sectors such as data centers. At the same time, demand remains strong across many industrial markets, and Penntex continues to build on its long-standing expertise serving developers, manufacturers, and facility owners throughout the region. That regional focus is reflected in other ENR rankings as well. In addition to maintaining a place on the national Top 400 list, Penntex was recently ranked #4 among ENR East’s Top Distribution and Warehouse Contractors, a recognition that considers project volume and activity across a 13-state area of the Eastern U.S. With Penntex’s work being more regionally focused, the ranking underscores both the scale of projects the company delivers and the substantial volume of work we continue to perform in PA and NJ.

"We've always believed our regional focus creates value for our clients," said Jim Hoolehan, Penntex President. "By staying closely connected to the markets we serve, we're able to provide informed guidance, strong trade partner relationships, and a level of responsiveness that helps clients move projects forward with confidence."
